🔼 Another Dub. Trojan soccer outdueled Southern in a thrilling 2-1 victory to earn a third straight win. Troy struck first with a goal from Leah Crotty in the 15th minute. It was the second career goal for Crotty, a transfer from Illinois State, and her first as a member of the Trojans. Then in the 65th minute, Delaney Wells scored the game-winner from the penalty spot following a Southern penalty in the box.
🔼 Non-Conference Tilt. Quarterback Goose Crowder powered in for an 11-yard touchdown run in the opening minutes of the second quarter, tying the game at 7-all; however, that would be the final snap that Troy's starting quarterback would see the remainder of the game, and Memphis took advantage in route to a 38-17 victory over the visiting Trojans on Saturday. Sophomore Matthew Caldwell took over for Crowder and completed 11-of-19 passes for 113 yards and rushed for a touchdown. Up next, Troy travels to No. 21 Iowa on Saturday with kickoff set for 3 p.m. on FS1.
🔼 Home Opener. Troy volleyball struggled to find its offensive footing as it fell to Cal Poly 3-0 in its home opener at Trojan Arena on Saturday afternoon. Amiah Butler led the match with 16 kills and had just two errors for a .467 hitting clip while Tori Hester continued her double-figure kill streak to start the season, as she had ten on 38 attempts.
🔼 Soon To Be Stars. As Trojan baseball gears up for another exciting season, some new faces are set to be at the forefront of the Trojans’ efforts in the 2025 season. D1Baseball released its Top 85 Impact Transfer Pitchers and new Trojans Colby Frieda and Noah Edders were both on the list. Frieda was ranked No. 64 while Edders was ranked No. 70.
🔼 Making Waves. Troy women's golf team hits the links for the second time this fall at the Green Wave Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at TPC of Louisiana in New Orleans. The Trojans are coming off a 10th-place finish at the one-day, 36-hole Clemson Invitational in its fall opener two weeks ago. Laura Fangmeyer led the Trojans, finishing in a tie for 22nd place at 3-over par, while Brinson Hall had her best performance in a Troy uniform. Teams will play a shotgun start each day beginning at 8 a.m.
