🔼 Ballin’ At The Beach. The calendar may read September, but it’s already time to start planning for hoops season!
This week, Troy men’s basketball announced that it will compete in the 2026 Pensacola Invitational from Nov. 21-22, Ross Potts Productions, Inc. and the Pensacola Bay Center.
The Trojans will take on Valparaiso on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., before facing Nicholls at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Troy will meet Valparaiso for the eighth time in program history and first since the 2009-10 season, while its matchup against Nicholls will mark the 15th all-time meeting between the two teams.
🔼 Power Pair. Trojan Baseball is still rolling in the honors from their historic run this past June.
This week, Troy baseball head coach Skylar Meade and starting catcher Jimmy Janicki were honored by the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association (AlaBCA).
Meade was named the 2026 Large College Coach of the Year, while Janicki earned 2026 Player of the Year honors.
🔼 Hot Start. It was quite a start to the season for Troy men’s golf as the squad shot 15-under and finished second in the season-opening Golfweek Fall Challenge.
The score was the fifth-best in program history relative to par for a 54-hole event as the Trojans shot under par as a team in all three rounds for the first time since shooting a 9-under 855 in the season opener last season.
Playing in his first collegiate tournament, Jack Lowery stole the show for the Trojans, shooting under-par in all three of his rounds to finish tied for ninth individually.
🔼 Giving Him The Boot. Consensus Preseason All-American and 2025 Ray Guy Finalist Evan Crenshaw picked up where he left off last season, earning a spot on the initial Ray Guy Award Ray's 8 for his performance against Sam Houston.
Crenshaw, who earned Sporting News and FWAA First Team All-America honors last season, punted eight times in Troy's victory over Sam Houston, with four traveling 50-plus yards and five of his punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is women’s golf standout Manya Saini, who earned a top-five finish at the Golfweek Fall Challenge this week in Pawley’s Island, S.C. Saini finished in fourth with a 1-under-par for the week. She carded 12 birdies on the week, tied for the most in the field.
Trojans Top Performance is brought to you by Conecuh Sausage. Conecuh Sausage is made in Alabama, it’s great on the grill and a fan favorite for tailgating. Conecuh Sausage, the Official Sausage of Troy Athletics.
