🔼 Toe-To-Toe. Entering Saturday’s trip to Death Valley as more than 30-point underdogs, the Troy football program laid it on the line and went toe-to-toe with No. 8 Clemson.
The Trojans entered the halftime locker rooms with a 16-3 advantage, but Clemson responded in the second half with four straight scores and held on for the 27-16 victory.
Troy held Clemson to just 316 yards of offense in the game, the Tigers' fewest against a non-Power Four opponent since South Florida held them to 296 yards in a neutral site game in 2010; it was the fewest at home by a Clemson squad against a non-P4 opponent since 2001 when UCF held the Tigers to 292 yards.
🔼 No Place Like Home. After spending the first few matches of the season on the road, the Troy volleyball squad returned home and enjoyed the friendly confines of Trojan Arena.
Powered by another stellar performance from Amiah Butler, Troy earned its first win of the season over Jackson State (25-15, 25-23, 25-16).
Troy hit a season-best .338 as a team, picking up 39 total kills. The Trojans excelled from the service line with a season-high 11 aces. Jordan Sinness and Madison Marx split setting duties, each dishing out 15 assists. Sydney Austin had a near-perfect outing, tallying five kills on as many attempts to go with four block assists.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is sophomore linebacker Luke Hodge, who was a playmaker on Saturday for Troy, with four tackles, his first forced fumble of his collegiate career as well as a pass breakup that led to a Trojan interception.
