🔼 Tomorrow, Tomorrow. That’s right. We’ve are now just over 24 hours away from the return of Trojan Football.
Troy kicks off the 2026 season TOMORROW night at The Vet, welcoming Sam Houston for a 6 p.m. CT matchup on ESPN+.
The Trojans enter the year with plenty of expectations after winning the Sun Belt West Division and reaching the conference championship game in 2025. Troy was picked to win the division again this fall, giving head coach Gerad Parker’s squad an opportunity to set the tone right away.
🔼 Pathway To The Pros. With the 2026 NFL season just less than a week away, six former Trojans earned shots with organizations this summer.
A quarter of Troy alumni earned spots on 53-man rosters including Jake Andrews (Texans), Javon Salomon (Bills), Kimani Vidal (Chargers) and Dell Pettus (Patriots).
In addition, Reddy Steward (Cowboys) and Devin Lafayette (Raiders) signed contracts to join their respective practice squads.
🔼 Friday Night Lights. Following back-to-back matches on the road, the Troy Soccer squad returns home for three straight, beginning tonight in a showdown with Kennesaw State.
The Trojans have won their only home match of the season so far and will look to do the same when they kick things off against the Owls tonight at 6 p.m.
🔼 Lace ‘Em Up. While the rest of us are settling into our Friday work routines, the Troy cross country squads will be loosening up and ready to hit the course for the first time in 2026.
This morning, the Trojans will open up their campaign at the JSU Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Ala.
The women will lace them up at 8:30 a.m., followed by the men’s race at 9.

Entering his fourth season at Troy, Jordan Lovett is ready to take on even more of a role in Troy’s backfield this fall.
Lovett enjoyed his breakout season in 2025, playing in all 13 games and making four starts. He rushed for 339 yards and two touchdowns on 89 carries, while adding 13 receptions for 86 yards. His biggest performance came in Troy’s win over Louisiana, when he posted his first career 100-yard game with 113 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Through his first three seasons, Lovett has accumulated 440 rushing yards, 141 receiving yards and three rushing touchdowns. Now wearing No. 1️⃣ and entering his fourth year in the program, he heads into 2026 as one of Troy’s most experienced returning options at running back.
