Good morning Troy Family. Who doesn’t love a little fall weekend clean up?

The Troy volleyball program did exactly that this past weekend with a little home sweep action.

🔼 Two-For-One Special. What’s better than a conference win? Two conference wins!

That’s what the Troy volleyball team brought home with a sweep of visiting South Alabama, 3-0 and 3-2, to kick start conference play for both programs.

Yet again, Tori Hester was the star of the show, piling up 45 kills on .368 hitting, three aces and back-to-back double-doubles for the Trojans. Janelle Stuempfig piled up 51 assists in the two matches, including a season-high 38 in the five-set thriller on Friday night.

🔼 Getting Defensive. On a night where the Troy community honored its Armed Forces, it was only right that the defenses were on full display.

The Trojans flexed their defensive muscles, but came up just short as visiting ULM scored a late TD to come out on top 13-9 in the Sun Belt opener for both squads.

Troy limited ULM to under 250 total yards on the day and just seven first downs, but it was their score with just under 10 minutes to play that proved to be the difference.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is Troy volleyball’s Tori Hester. Hester unleashed 45 kills to lead the offensive attack for the Trojans in the weekend sweep of South Alabama. In Friday’s 3-2 comeback victory, Hester tallied a season-high 30 kills, the third-highest single match total in program history. She has now posted 34 straight matches with double-digit kills.
