🔼 Title Tuesday. The Troy men's golf team fired an 11-under in Tuesday's final round of the Argent Financial Classic, climbing two spots to claim its first team title since the spring of 2025.
First-year Jack Lowery carded an 8-under 64 to pace the Trojans in the final round, tying the lowest round in program history relative to par. Lowery carded eight birdies and no bogeys in just the sixth round of his collegiate career. The Homewood, Ala., native is 11-under par through his first two college tournaments.
Troy entered the day four shots back of North Texas and a shot behind Louisiana Tech, but the Trojans shot their second-best team round relative to par in program history, vaulting into the top spot on the leaderboard.
🔼 Dynamic Duo. Coming off a historic season that culminated in the program's first College World Series appearance, two Troy baseball players earned national recognition as D1Baseball featured catcher Jimmy Janicki and right-handed pitcher Noah Thigpen on its Top 100 MLB Draft Prospect rankings.
Janicki led the way as D1Baseball's top-ranked catcher and No. 5 overall prospect, while Thigpen earned national recognition as the No. 32 right-handed pitcher and No. 95 overall.
🔼 Pack ‘Em In. This week, Troy Athletics announced a series of exciting promotions for fans of all ages ahead of a nationally televised Sun Belt Conference opener against Southern Miss.
The Trojans will host the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, October 6, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
Fans are encouraged to Pack The Vet with various ticket specials being offered for the game:
