🔼 Battle For The Belt. No better way to honor the man behind the Trojans for so many years than bringing home the belt, right?

The Troy football program will look to do just that this weekend as South Alabama rolls into The Vet for a Saturday evening showdown.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

🔼 Point Taken. A gritty performance by the back line of the Troy soccer squad helped the Trojans pick up their second conference point in a scoreless draw against James Madison on Saturday night.

Taylor Richards made a career-best nine saves to pick up her fourth shutout of the season, which ties her for the Sun Belt lead.

The matchup was headlined by JMU's Ginny Lackey and Troy's Jiselle Daniels, who entered the night tied for the Sun Belt lead with seven goals apiece, but the Trojan back line of freshman Izzy Skinner and sophomore Brooke Slater held the Preseason Sun Belt Player of the Year Lackey without a shot on target.

🔼 NFL Trojans Update. Former Troy standout Dell Pettus had his best day of the 2025 season with a season-high four tackles as the New England Patriots routed the Carolina Panthers, 42-13.

Pettus racked up four tackles, his highest single-game total since week 9 of last year.

Jake Andrews and his Houston Texans picked up their first win of the season in dominating fashion as well, rolling the Tennessee Titans, 26-0. Andrews anchored an offensive line that helped guide the Texans to over 350 yards of total offense on the day.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is junior goalkeeper Taylor Richards of the Troy women’s soccer program. Richards picked a great time for a career night, racking up nine saves for the second straight game, earning the Trojans a 0-0 draw with perennial Sun Belt power, JMU, on Saturday night.
