🔼 Fun In The Sun. A pair of former Trojans will find themselves among some of baseball’s top prospects this offseason.
This week, former Troy baseball standouts Brooks Bryan and Jay Dill were selected to participate in the prestigious Arizona Fall League (AFL).
Bryan, a catcher in the Kansas City Royals organization, will suit up for the Surprise Saguaros, while Dill, a right-handed pitcher in the Athletics system, will take the mound for the Mesa Solar Sox.
The Arizona Fall League is Major League Baseball's premier off-season prospect development program. Operating each fall across six Phoenix-area spring training venues, the AFL functions as a finishing school for top minor league talent. Since its founding in 1992, the league has featured over 3,000 future Major Leaguers.
🔼 Mountain Men. Troy Football is heading to the mountains to close out its non-conference schedule as the Trojans head west to take on Utah State in one of the most underrated environments in college football.
Troy is coming off a strong showing against a nationally-ranked Missouri squad last week and looks to make some noise once again as they square off with an Aggies squad that narrowly fell to #19 Washington earlier this season.
Tomorrow marks the first meeting between the programs since 2004; Troy leads the all-time series 2-1 and won the only previous matchup in Logan, 23-14 in 2003.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network.
🔼 Bigger Than The Game. Success isn’t just measured on the field, it’s about the impact made on those around you.
No one better defines that than Troy offensive lineman Tyler Cappi, who this week was named a semifinalist for the 2026 William V. Campbell Trophy, the National Football Foundation’s prestigious award recognizing the best football scholar-athlete in the nation.
Cappi is among a select group of student-athletes from across the country recognized for their accomplishments on the football field, in the classroom and in their communities.
