We are 3️⃣ Days Away From Kickoff, Trojan Fans!
Eric Thomas was one of the most productive wide receivers of Troy’s FBS era, starring for the Trojans from 2010-13. After seeing limited action as a freshman, Thomas broke out as a sophomore in 2011 with 67 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns, earning Second-Team All-Sun Belt honors.
Thomas saved his best season for 2013, finishing with 66 receptions for 993 yards and 12 touchdowns. He ended his Troy career with 197 catches for 2,655 yards and 29 touchdowns, numbers that still place him among the most accomplished receivers in program history.

🔼 Three More Sleeps. That’s right. We’ve finally reached Game Week for Trojan Football.
Troy kicks off the 2026 season this Saturday night at The Vet, welcoming Sam Houston for a 6 p.m. CT matchup on ESPN+.
The Trojans enter the year with plenty of expectations after winning the Sun Belt West Division and reaching the conference championship game in 2025. Troy was picked to win the division again this fall, giving head coach Gerad Parker’s squad an opportunity to set the tone right away.
🔼 A Living Legend. There are very few names that are more synonymous with Trojan Football than Barry McKnight.
Now entering his 25th season as play-by-play announcer for Troy University Athletics, McKnight fondly reflects on his early childhood in Palm Bay, Fla., when calling sports first piqued his interest.
A makeshift press box made from plywood and particle board sat above one of the dugouts, providing the first setting for McKnight to announce games.
🔼 Special K. Junior Kalina Calvillo started her third season at Troy in a big way.
The San Antonio native helped lead the Trojans to a pair of wins during the season-opening Troy Invitational this past weekend.
Calvillo has started her 2026 campaign strong. Through three matches, the outside hitter has recorded a team-high 31 kills. The third-year standout has posted double-digit kills in all three matches this season and leads the team with 3.44 kills per set.
🔼 On The Mics. With the season opener just a few days away, head coach Gerad Parker of the Troy University Football program stepped behind the mics to preview this weekend’s matchup.
