Football is back at The Vet tomorrow, when Troy hosts Memphis in a marquee non-conference matchup.
Troy and Memphis met last season at the Liberty Bowl in Week Two; the Tigers came away with a 38-18 victory over the visiting Trojans. Memphis finished the season 11-2, including a win over West Virginia in the Frisco Bowl.
For the Trojans, their last six games (dating back to last season) have played out much differently than their first eight games. Troy is 4-2 over that stretch, including last weekend's battle in Death Valley that saw the Trojans go up on No. 8 Clemson 16-3 at the break before eventually losing, 27-16.
Handled business. 🧹🧹🧹

🔼 Bearin’ Down. There’s nothing like the comforts of home.
Playing just their second home match of the fall, the Troy volleyball team rolled to a dominating 3-0 victory over visiting Mercer on Wednesday night.
Amiah Butler continued her outstanding season with a 18-kill, 15-dig double-double to lead the way for the Trojans. As a team, Troy finished with 44 kills, including nine aces.
Madison Marx’s strong freshman campaign rolled on with 15 assists, while contributing eight digs and four aces to the winning cause. Fellow setter Jordan Sinness had a similarly successful night, adding 17 assists and eight digs.

🔼 Tip Of The Hat. A dominant road win is never a bad way to wrap up non-conference play.
That’s exactly what the Troy soccer squad did on Thursday night, rolling to a 3-1 victory at Stetson behind a career night from Alaina Uncapher, who not only scored her first career goal, but also added an assist in the contest.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is junior Amiah Butler of the Troy volleyball squad. Butler is having a monster season for the Trojans and unleashed her first double-double of the year in an 18-kill, 15-dig performance in Wednesday’s home win over Mercer. She currently leads the team, averaging nearly 16 kills per match for the Trojans.
