🔼 Super Saturday Showdown. Looking for its first 2-0 start to a season since 2013, Troy Football returns to Veterans Memorial Stadium tomorrow afternoon to host Alabama State in an in-state showdown.
Separated by less than an hour, Troy and Alabama State renew a rivalry that hasn’t been played in nearly a decade.
For the Trojans, the matchup is another opportunity for a young-look roster—27 players made their Troy debuts in the opener—to gain experience before back-to-back road tests at Missouri and Utah State.
Kickoff against the Hornets is set for 3 p.m. CT at The Vet, with the game streaming on ESPN+.
🔼 Time To Shine. This week, former Trojan Dell Pettus officially kicked off the 2026 NFL season for Troy alums, recording two tackles in New Engand’s season-opener in Seattle on Wednesday night.
Pettus is one of six former Trojans on active rosters entering this year.
He is joined by Jake Andrews (C, Houston Texans), Tez Johnson (WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Caleb Ransaw (S, Jacksonville Jaguars), Javon Solomon (LB, Buffalo Bills) and Kimani Vidal (RB, Los Angeles Chargers).
Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is men’s golf newcomer Jack Lowery. The Homewood, Ala., native stole the show for the Trojans in his first collegiate tournament, earning a top-10 finish at Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawleys Island, S.C. He finished 5-under for the week and carded 17 birdies, the second-highest total in the field.
