🔼 Let The Games Begin. The Gerad Parker era of Troy Football officially opens Saturday as Troy hosts Nevada at The Vet. The Trojans are coming off back-to-back Sun Belt Conference titles, joining Michigan as the only two programs with league titles in the last two years. This season, however, the Trojans will trot out an overhauled roster featuring just four players (offense and defense) who started six or more games last season. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

🔼 Back In Action. Football isn’t the only Troy Athletics program starting up its 2024 season this weekend. Trojan Volleyball will begin its season with a trio of matches at the LSU Tournament with matches on Friday against Maryland, and New Hampshire, and a Saturday match versus LSU. Troy enters the 2024 season returning 14 of 15 players from the 2023 squad that won a program-best 12 Sun Belt games headlined by senior outside hitter Tori Hester and junior setter Janelle Stuempfig.

🔼 Postgrad Praise. After graduating with a double major in physics and chemistry, Troy track and field alum Martin Bouldo earned the SBC Overall Male Postgraduate Award. Bouldo is currently pursuing his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University, hoping to become a doctor who specializes in cancer medicine. After overcoming cancer twice, the sprinter earned the 2023-24 Trojan Tribute Trojan Way Leadership Award with his return to the track for the most recent season.

🔼 Rain, Rain, Go Away. Troy Soccer’s match against the UAB Blazers was postponed due to weather. A makeup date and time will be announced at a later date. The Trojans are back in action on Sunday where they'll host Lipscomb.

🔼 Off and Running. 293 days after the conclusion of the 2023 season, Troy cross country kicks off the 2024 campaign today at the JSU Foothills Invitational. The Trojans open their season on the men's side in Choccolocoo Park at 5:30 p.m. before the women take the course at 6:15 p.m. against 26 teams.

1 day until kickoff, Troy Football fans!

Head coach Gerad Parker is entering year 1 with the Trojans as he looks to lead the team to its third-straight conference title. On the field, Goose Crowder takes over under center for Gunnar Watson, who had a hand in Troy's offensive success for parts of the last five seasons. Crowder has garnered the respect of his peers and coaches as he was voted one of Troy's four permanent captains.
