🔼 What Dreams Are Made Of. Scholarship videos are some of the best on the internet this time of year, and Troy Football was able to add to the catalog with a scholarship presentation of its own. Watch as sophomore safety Justin Powe receives his football scholarship with a special twist thanks to Powe’s parents and the Trojan coaching staff.
🔼 Four More. With the fall 2024 season right around the corner, head coach Eric Newell and the Troy softball team inked four transfers to complete their roster. A pair of junior college products from Florida in Esmee Ames and Megan Loftis, an Alabama native in McKinnon Howard and former SEC player Annie Orman completes the Trojan’s 26-women roster.
🗣️ "We are super excited about our transfer additions that we have added this summer. Each player has a unique skill set they are bringing to the table, and I can't wait to see them hit the field as Trojans." - Eric Newell
🔼 Going Pro. After a successful two-year stint with Troy, Aamer Muhammad has signed a professional deal with BC Barsy Atyrau in Kazakhstan. The club has appeared in the Kazakhstan Basketball Championship Finals in 12 of the last 13 seasons and has been the runner-up in the last eight seasons. In Muhammad’s two seasons with Troy, the Trojan guard totaled 700 points and averaged 10 or more points in both seasons.
🗣️ "Aamer deserves this great opportunity, as he has consistently worked to become a professional basketball player. I am very thankful for all that he did for our basketball program.” - Scott Cross, head coach
🔼 First of Its Kind. Troy Athletics, in partnership with longtime supporters Horn Beverage and Folklore Brewing and Meadery, is proud to announce Troy's first officially licensed craft beer for Trojan fans to enjoy this fall during football season. Trojan Ale, a session blonde ale, will officially debut to the public at Troy Football's season opener against Nevada on Aug. 31 in The Vet. All sales of Troy's officially licensed beer will directly benefit Troy University and Troy Athletics.
