🔼 Stars Shine. As Troy Volleyball gears up for the 2024 season, the Sun Belt Conference named Janelle Stempfig the SBC Preseason Setter of the Year while Tori Hester joined her on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team. Stuempfig is the first Trojan to receive an individual preseason award since Troy joined the Sun Belt in 2004. The junior setter is coming off a strong 2023 campaign, where she recorded a team-best 1,084 assists – good for second in the Sun Belt.

🔼 Got It Done. Troy opened its 2024 season in exciting fashion Thursday night, scoring a 77th-minute goal to defeat Eastern Washington 2-1 in front of the home crowd. The game-sealing goal came on Troy's seventh corner kick of the game, with sophomore Danielle Trovato connecting with senior captain Delaney Wells inside the box. Goalkeeper Une Georgsen also had an impressive game for the Trojans, saving six shots which ties a career high.

🔼 Batter’s Up. Troy catcher Brooks Bryan is coming off a tremendous sophomore campaign that saw him rewrite the school record book with 85 RBIs, and his production at the plate has him getting some buzz for the 2025 MLB Draft. Prep Baseball Report released its Top 50 College Hitters for the 2025 MLB Draft this month, and Bryan came in at No. 16 on the list. Bryan is one of two players from the Sun Belt Conference on the list and was the No. 4 ranked catcher.

🔼 Ready To Party. This Saturday, August 17, Troy will be hosting its annual Football Kickoff Party in Trojan Arena. The premier event features a $10,000 grand prize, food and beverage, a silent auction, a live auction and more. Tickets for the Football Kickoff Party are $150 and each ticket admits two people into Trojan Arena for the special evening.

From 1966-69, former Trojan Ronnie Shelley solidified himself as one of the program’s greatest cornerbacks. During the 1968 season, Shelley set the single-season interception record after picking off 15 passes. When all was said and done, Shelley had racked up 36 interceptions — a record that still stands to this day.
