The countdown sits at 29 days, and today that number belongs to No. 29 Joe Lott! The redshirt freshman safety made his presence felt all over the field in 2025, racking up 26 tackles while playing 263 defensive snaps and 129 more on special teams.
His signature moment came at ULM, where he intercepted two passes, returning one 53 yards for a touchdown, in a Trojan victory.

🔼 A Quest For A Three-Repeat. The road to history is mapped out! The Sun Belt released its men's basketball conference schedule, and Troy, winners of back-to-back tournament titles, will chase a feat no league program has accomplished since Western Kentucky from 2001-03: three consecutive tournament championships.
Head coach Adam Howard's first season includes a Dec. 16 conference opener against newcomer Louisiana Tech as part of a men's and women's doubleheader, plus a Jan. 9 rematch of the 2026 Sun Belt Championship game against Georgia Southern. The SBC Tournament returns to Pensacola March 2-8!

🔼 Slate Set. Troy women's basketball has its Sun Belt Conference roadmap! Coming off a season that tied the program record for wins and included the program's first-ever WBIT bid, the Trojans open league play at home against ULM on Wednesday, Dec. 16 as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
The 18-game schedule features a 2025-26 SBC Championship game rematch with James Madison on Jan. 2 and the first-ever SBC matchups with Louisiana Tech. Head coach Chanda Rigby's squad closes with four straight home games before the SBC Tournament returns to Pensacola March 2-8!

🔼 POV: You’re the QB. Ever wondered what it looks like to be a quarterback at practice?
🔼 Fall Ball. Troy softball is gearing up for a competitive fall! Head coach Eric Newell released the 2027 Fall Ball schedule, featuring six home games and two Power-4 road trips against perennial Top 25 programs. The eight-game slate opens Wednesday, Sept. 30 at home against Wallace State CC-Hanceville, with road tests at reigning ACC champion Florida State on Oct. 10 and Georgia on Oct. 18.

🔼 Pro Bound. From the Cardinal and White to the pros! Two-time Sun Belt champion Jerrell Bellamy has signed his first professional contract with Kauhajoki Karhu Basket of Finland's Korisliiga. The 6-foot-9 center shot 64.4% from the field this past season, setting a Troy single-season record, and saved his best for the biggest stage, averaging 18.5 points and 3.0 blocks in the Sun Belt Tournament to earn All-Tournament Team honors while powering the Trojans to their second straight NCAA Tournament berth!

🔼 Welcome to Troy. Troy men's basketball is adding international flair! Head coach Adam Howard announced the signing of Brazilian guard Cauã Pacheco, who arrives after two seasons with E.C. Pinheiros in Brazil's first division alongside fellow Troy signee Afonso Pacheco. Cauã averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 assists for the NBB runner-up in 2025-26.

🔼 New Chapter. A familiar face is taking on a new role at Troy! Adam Godwin has been named Executive Director of Development and Letterwinner Engagement after more than six years on the Trojan baseball staff.
Godwin was part of the 2026 staff that guided Troy to the College World Series, where the No. 6-ranked Trojans defeated Ole Miss in Omaha. A decorated Troy alum, Godwin led the country with 84 stolen bases in 2005, which is still a program record, en route to Atlantic Sun Player of the Year honors before a 10-year professional playing career!

Troy long snapper Colton Walls has landed on the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List, honoring the nation's top long snapper! Entering his fourth year with the Trojans and third as the starter, Walls has 26 career starts and played a key role in Troy's punting success — the Trojans ranked 11th nationally in net punting last season while Evan Crenshaw earned multiple First Team All-America honors. Walls joins Crenshaw, a Walter Camp Preseason All-America Second Team pick, on Troy's growing list of 2026 preseason honorees!
