We are 2️⃣2️⃣ Days Away From Kickoff, Trojan Fans!
Arriving last year at Troy after a stellar JUCO career, #2️⃣2️⃣ Donnie Smith made his presence felt from the first snap.
The Greenville, Miss., native led the Sun Belt and ranked eighth nationally with 11 sacks on the year and was one of only two players nationally to record a sack in at least nine different games last fall.
Smith earned All-Sun Belt First Team accolades and has received a slew of preseason accolades heading into his final year with the Trojans.
In addition to his 11 sacks, Smith added 44 tackles and 36 QB pressures.

🔼 The Hall Call. The winningest Troy women's basketball head coach, Chanda Rigby, has officially joined the Pensacola State Athletics Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2026 for her historic seven-year tenure from 2005 through 2012, before coming to the take over the Trojans.
"Pensacola State College means so much to me," Rigby said. "I will always be grateful for the relationships and the memories I made there. Being inducted into the Pensacola State College Hall of Fame is an honor that I treasure."
Already a member of the Florida College System Activities Association Sports Hall of Fame in the Class of 2024, Rigby coached at Pensacola State from 2005 to 2012. While a Pirate, she compiled four straight 20-plus-win seasons from 2008-12 for a 142-63 record, including a near-perfect 34-1 record in 2010-11.
🔼 Irish Import. With classes just getting underway this week on campus, the Troy men’s basketball program got a late addition to the roster for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
Head Coach Adam Howard announced the official signing of Kansas State transfer, Mobi Ikegwuruka.
The Ireland native appeared in 34 games across two seasons with the Wildcats, averaging 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.3 minutes per game.

🔼 Got Dinner Plans? Speaking of Trojan basketball, there’s no better way to get ready for the upcoming 2026-27 seasons than joining both programs for the upcoming Tipoff Banquet, set for Thursday, October 15th at Trojan Arena.
The event includes a dinner buffet, drinks, enter-to-win drawings, silent auction items and the exclusive opportunity to mingle with the Troy basketball players and coaches. The Troy players and coaches will preview the 2026-27 season with a Q&A panel.
