Good Morning, Troy Fam. The preparation is done. Now, it’s showtime.

What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below!

⏱️ Countin’ Down: 24 Days Away
⚔ And much, much more!
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Let The Games Begin. For the first time in 287 days (not that we’ve been counting or anything), the Troy Soccer squad will step back on the pitch tomorrow night for the 2026 season opener.
The Trojans will travel north to Murfreesboro, Tenn., to kickoff a new era under first-year head coach Jake Wyman.
Troy will take on MTSU in a 7 pm showdown.
🔼 A Family Affair. For all the hours spent on the practice field, the pressure of game day and the recognition that followed a breakthrough season, Evan Crenshaw's biggest source of motivation has little to do with football.
It starts at home. It starts with Taylor.
Nine years older and born blind, his half-brother has spent his life navigating circumstances he never chose. He lives independently, goes to the gym, plays the drums and makes his way through the world on his own terms.
🔼 Super Freak. After making an immediate impact last season at Troy, Donnie Smith has garnered the attention of the national media.
This past week, Smith was named among Bruce Feldman’s annual Freaks List, which recognizes some of the top athletes in all of college football.
Feldman wrote: “The former No. 1-ranked junior college linebacker in the country, Smith tore up the Sun Belt in his debut season in 2025, leading the conference with 11 sacks to go along with 13.5 TFLs, seven QB hurries and 44 tackles. The 6-4, 234-pound senior does a lot of his damage thanks to his explosiveness. That’s evidenced by his 40-inch vertical jump and 11-foot broad jump this offseason, as well as his squatting 500 pounds and consistently topping 21 mph on the GPS.”

🔼 Gear Up, Cash In. Trojans fans, it's time to stock up! Troy's annual Gear Up for Gameday promotion returns, and shoppers who purchase $100 worth of merchandise from Aug. 10 to Sept. 4 at participating local retailers, including Barnes & Noble Troy Bookstore, Eagle Eye Outfitters, and Heritage 1843, will receive a promo code for four free general admission tickets to Kickoff in the Wiregrass vs. Sam Houston on Sept. 5 at The Vet.

We are 2️⃣4️⃣ Days Away From Kickoff, Trojan Fans!
The date: Sept. 15, 2018
The location: Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.
For a second straight season, the Trojans rolled into the home stadium of a Power Five opponent and came out victorious as Troy used a dominant defensive performance and power running to knock off Nebraska, 2️⃣4️⃣-19 back in 2018.
That came just a season after the Trojans defeated LSU in Tiger Stadium (2017).
Countdown to Kickoff is brought to you by Conecuh Sausage. Conecuh Sausage is made in Alabama, it’s great on the grill and a fan favorite for tailgating. Conecuh Sausage, the Official Sausage of Troy Athletics.
