🔼 Opening Acts. Two first time matchups will get the 2026-27 Troy Basketball seasons underway in November.

Late last week, the first round of pairings for the 2026-27 MAC-SBC Challenge, a scheduling alliance between the Mid-American and Sun Belt Conferences, were released.

The men host UMass in Trojan Arena, while the women's team travels to face Kent State.

Last season, the Trojans finished 3-1 in the MAC-SBC Challenge, with the men winning their side of the challenge with a 14-12 record in the Sun Belt Conference. Meanwhile, the women's side saw a 13-13 draw.

🔼 Celebrate Good Times. This past weekend wasn’t the only time the Troy Athletics family will be joining the America 250 celebration.

The Trojans’ part of the America 250 celebration will run through September, culminating with Kickoff in the Wiregrass at The Vet for the 2026 Troy Football season opener versus Sam Houston. 

Kickoff between Troy and Sam Houston on Sept. 5  is set for 6 p.m., and tickets are available at TroyTrojans.com/FBTickets. 

Kickoff in the Wiregrass: Celebrating America 250 is the first of three patriotic-themed celebrations at The Vet this season. Troy welcomes Alabama State on Sept. 12 for Patriots Day and hosts ULM on Oct. 24 for Troy's annual Military Appreciation game.

We are 6️⃣1️⃣ Days Away From Kickoff, Trojan Fans!

Last year, he was bursting onto the NFL scene. But in 2023, Kimani Vidal was bursting through opposing defenses for the Trojan offense.

Vidal piled up a single-season school record of 1,66️⃣1️⃣ yards during his historic 2023 season, which capped off an All-American season for the Troy standout.

For his career, the Marietta, Ga., native finished with a program record of 4,010 yards.

🤝 PRIMETIME PARTNERSHIP

Troy Athletics and Troy Regional strengthened an already established partnership by announcing a new seven-year sponsorship agreement that will benefit all Troy student-athletes and enhance Troy Regional's brand through the placement of its logo on the East Apron at The Vet.

Beginning with the 2026 Troy Football season, the new Troy Regional logo will be etched into the turf between the 10-and 20-yard lines on the East Apron (visitor sideline) to maximize visibility for fans in the stadium and watching at home.

This collaboration was arranged in partnership with Troy Sports Properties (Playfly Sports), the multimedia rights holder for Troy Athletics.
