🔼 Eyes On Us. With training camps right around the corner and the season less than 50 days away, watch lists for the upcoming season are rolling out.
This week, a trio of Trojans earned a spot on the Shriners Children’s East-West Bowl 1000 Watch List. Donnie Smith, Evan Crenshaw and Colton Walls were all named to the list.
🔼 First Impressions. A “whirlwind” is probably a fitting description for Kyle George’s first year on the job leading the Troy University athletics department.
When George was promoted to his current position in November, he was already battle-tested after universities began paying student-athletes a stipend through income generated from the athletics department.

🔼 Academic Aces. We are just over a month away from the return of Troy volleyball to the court, but they’ve got a few more items to celebrate from last year first.
This week, the Trojans earned their eighth consecutive American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
The Trojans also earned a spot on the Honor Roll, which is given to the programs ranking in the top 20 percent of team GPAs. This marks the seventh time in the past eight years Troy has received Honor Roll recognition.
🔼 Back Together. For two years, Christyon Eugene and Aamer Muhammad caused nightmares for Troy men’s hoops opponents.
We are 4️⃣3️⃣ Days Away From Kickoff, Trojan Fans!
Throughout the history of Troy football, there’s been plenty of dynamic and high-flying pass rushers, but none racked up more than Trojan Hall of Famer, Charles Pickett, who still holds the career program record with 4️⃣3️⃣ sacks.
A three-time NAIA All-District selection, Pickett earned honorable mention All-America honors following his junior season in 1975 after he recorded 106 tackles and 19 sacks. He followed with another 19-sack season his senior year.
