🔼 Taking Center Stage. With training camp just around the corner, there’s no better time to preview Trojan football and we’ll do that and more tomorrow at Sun Belt Conference Media Day in New Orleans.

Stepping behind the mics for Troy will be head coach Gerad Parker, Goose Crowder and Devin Lafayette.

The event will be held at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District in downtown New Orleans, La., and will be broadcast nationwide on ESPN+. For the second-straight year, the multicast will feature two separate feeds—the traditional Sun Belt Football Media Days Show, which will incorporate portions of the Main Stage and Sun Belt Studio appearances from each team alongside analysis from hosts Matt Stewart and Rocky Boiman, and the Sun Belt Football Media Days Podium Feed, which will showcase the Main Stage appearances from each team in their entirety.

🔼 The Hall Call. Anytime you can add “Hall of Fame” to your resume, it’s pretty special.

Godwin, an Enterprise, Ala., native and current Troy assistant coach, starred for the Trojans from 2004-05 and was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year and a Second Team All-American in 2005. Godwin hit for a .374 average in the cardinal and white and owns the Troy record for career stolen bases (112), which included an NCAA-best and Troy single-season record 84 stolen bases in 2005.

Robinson was a four-year starter for the Trojans from 2004-07, earning All-Sun Belt honors in 2006 and 2007 as Troy made back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament. The Dothan, Ala., native ranks third in program history in RBIs (178), fourth in runs scored (169) and hits (257), sixth in home runs (37), eighth in doubles (47).

🔼 He’s Bacckkk. Last week, it was Troy’s second-leading hitter, Steven Meier, from last season announce his return to the Trojans for next year.

A few hours later, Meier was joined by Troy’s top hitter last season, the energetic Aussie, Blake Cavill.

Cavill led the way this past spring with a .320 batting average, along with 11 HRs and 50 RBIs.

Season tickets start at $75 for all six home games at The Vet. This year’s schedule features all six home games on Saturdays and marquee match-ups against Memphis, South Alabama and more.
