That’s right Troy family, the start of the 2025 football season is getting closer and closer!

With the 59th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers selected Troy DB Sherrod Martin.

Martin went on to play six seasons in the NFL with three different organizations, piling up 217 tackles and eight interceptions during his professional career.

🔼 Howdy, Partners. The opening round pairings for the 2025-26 MAC-SBC Basketball Challenge – a scheduling alliance between the Mid-American and Sun Belt Conferences – were announced on Tuesday for both Troy basketball programs.

This year’s first round will be played on November 3, with Sun Belt men’s programs on the road and its women’s programs hosting.

The men’s squad will open up against Kent State, while the women are set to host Toledo.

🔼 Academic Aces. It’s not exactly easy to pull in ace in golf.

But in the classroom, a pair of Trojan women’s golfers are putting up plenty of aces as the duo of Alyssa Mercado and Laura Fangmeyer were both named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team this week.
