🔼 OMAHA! OMAHA! For the first time in program history, Troy is headed to the College World Series.

The Trojans punched a ticket to Omaha after sweeping Little Rock in the Troy Super Regional in front of 13,459 fans across two days.

Troy topped Little Rock 12-2 in game one before a 7-2 win in Saturday's clincher behind 7.1 spectacular innings from Tommy Egan.

Offensively, the Trojans racked up 22 hits in the two games, including nine extra-base hits, highlighted by four HRs in the game one victory.

Speaking of ‘89, the Troy football program saw outstanding WR Titus Dixon selected in the 1989 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.

During his Trojan career, Dixon earned All-Conference honors twice as a kick returner and several of the records he broke still stand. His 99-yard touchdown catch in 1986 still stands as the longest play from scrimmage in Troy history. The speedster also had a 97-yard catch in 1987. He was also a part of the 1987 National Championship squad.
