One Troy Today 6/6: Earning His (Stars &) Stripes

Scott Becomes First Trojan Golfer Since '93 To Earn All-American Honors

TGIF Trojans. Bill Clinton had just taken office. Ariana Grande hadn’t been born. The average price of gas was $1.11. Cliffhanger was the most popular movie in the box office.

That’s just some of the current events that were happening the last time a Troy men’s golfer was named an All-American.

That all changed this week.

🔼 Earning His (Stars &) Stripes. His head coach wasn’t even elementary school the last time the Troy men’s golf program garnered an All-American.

Brantley Scott changed that this week as the senior was named to the Golfweek All-America Team as an honorable mention selection. He is the first Trojan golfer since 1993 to earn All-America honors.

Scott returned to Troy's lineup for the spring season after missing the entire fall with an injury. His impact on the Trojans' historic run through the spring was profound. Scott carried Troy's top bag in five of the Trojans' eight tournaments in which he played in the spring, shooting under-par in six of those eight events.

An All-Sun Belt First Team Selection, he finished the season with a program-record -0.54 score vs. par and 70.96 stroke average. Scott played 13 of his 24 rounds under par and tied for 36th place at the NCAA Championships, where he missed the cut for the final round by one stroke.

🔼 Pave The Way. For Troy track & field’s Abby Grosinske, her career in competition may be over, but her future gets brighter and brighter.

This week, Gosinske was named Troy's recipient of the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Postgraduate Scholarship.

"Abby is a great recipient for this award," director of track & field / cross country Marc Davis said. "She has always gone above and beyond what is needed to be a good athlete and an even better person. I couldn't think of anyone better to receive this honor.

A Troy University graduate of Spring 2025, Grosinske earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology. In the fall of 2025, she will attend Northern Illinois University to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy.

In her four-year career, she competed in 60 meets through the indoor and outdoor seasons with 18 top-five finishes.

85 days til kickoff, Trojan Fans!

A little salute to our German brother, Fabian Rogosch, who played in all 12 games last fall on special teams and as a blocking tight end for the Trojan offense.

He played in 163 snaps on special teams, the third-highest total on last year’s team. A rising junior, Rogosch arrived in Troy from Hamburg, Germany as a defensive lineman, but transitioned to the offensive side of the ball after his first year with the Trojans.
