📈 STOCK UP

🔼 One Last (Home)Stand. This time of year, every pitch becomes bigger and bigger.

Some of the biggest pitches of the year will be thrown this weekend at Riddle-Pace Field as the Troy Baseball squad hosts its final homestand of the 2026 season when longtime rival, South Alabama, rolls into town for a monster Sun Belt series.

Winners of four of their past five conference weekends, the Trojans enter this weekend just a game behind the Jaguars in the conference standings for a top-four spot with the Sun Belt Tournament just two weeks away.

First pitch in tonight’s series opener is set for 6 p.m.

🔼 Finding A Home. For Troy Football’s Tyler Cappi, the memory sticks in his mind from the first time he watched football.

He was around 12 years old, he sat in a friend's house after moving from South Korea to the U.S., watching a Raiders game with his dad. Up to that point, football was virtually unknown in his life. Raised thousands of miles from the culture of Friday night lights that shapes much of American life, he had never strapped on shoulder pads. He did not know what a counter play was. He did not know why offensive linemen pointed at linebackers before the snap.

Now, years later, Cappi has forced his way into meaningful snaps at Troy through persistence, belief and relationships forged within the program.

🔼 Runnin’ Rach. No better time to find your stride than with Sun Belt Conference Championships on the horizon.

That’s exactly what Troy Track & Field’s Rachel Whyte has done after being selected as the Sun Belt Female Athlete of the Week honor.

Whyte ran 53.61 in the women's 400m, improving her personal best by over a second and move up to third in the conference standings.

🔼 League Him. Troy men’s golf junior Pablo Gracia heads into the offseason with an accolade next to his name after being named to the All-Sun Belt Third Team.

Gracia led the Trojans with a 71.88 scoring average and 0.16 score vs. par for the year, while finishing with 14 rounds under-par and a team-best eight rounds in the 60s. He carried Troy's top bag in five of the Trojans' 11 events over the course of the season, with three top-10 finishes.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is sophomore track standout Rachel Whyte, who now sits second all-time in program history in the 400m after her award-winning performance in Nashville this past weekend.

Trojans Top Performance is brought to you by Conecuh Sausage. Conecuh Sausage is made in Alabama, it’s great on the grill and a fan favorite for tailgating. Conecuh Sausage, the Official Sausage of Troy Athletics.
