🔼 Trojan Takedown. A record crowd of 3,982 fans packed the stands at Riddle-Pace Field on Tuesday and boy, were they entertained!

The Trojans thrilled the home crowd, scoring six runs in the final two innings to pull off the 6-1 upset of the nationally-ranked Crimson Tide.

It marked Troy’s first win over Alabama since 2019 and the Trojans’ third nationally-ranked win of the season.

🔼 It’s Showtime. All the early mornings. All the extra rounds of batting practice. All the work in the weight room.

It all builds up to this week in Lafayette, La. as the Troy Softball squad get sets to compete in the 2026 Sun Belt Tournament.

The Trojans enters as the No. 9 seed and opens play TONIGHT with the home team, No. 8 Louisiana. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.

🔼 What A Haul. Even before stepping onto the field in Lafayette for the 2026 Sun Belt Tournament, the Troy Softball already has a haul of accolades in their luggage.

On Tuesday, the yearly awards were announced with the Trojans earning five All-Sun Belt selections for 2026, led by Megan Loftis and Ella Cunningham on the All-Sun Belt Second Team and followed by Makaley Boswell, Abby Lovell and Mia Tidmore on the All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention Team.

Troy's annual Football Kickoff Party will be held on Saturday, August 22, in Trojan Arena.

This flagship event includes a $10,000 grand prize, food and drinks, live music, a silent auction, a live auction and more. 

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is sophomore Noah Thigpen. With his team holding a 3-1 lead, the right-hander came out of the pen to retire all five batters he faced, including two strikeouts to earn the save and seal the upset victory over #17 Alabama.
