🔼 They’re Backkkk. The last time the Troy men’s golf team played in the NCAA Regionals, Brantley Scott and Jake Springer were in middle school.
Now, the All-Conference duo will be leading the Trojans back to the NCAA postseason for the first time since 2017 as the No. 9 seed at the Urbanna, Ill. Regional, hosted by the Atkins Golf Club
The Trojans enter the NCAA Regionals ranked No. 51 in the country after putting together the best all-around season out of the Sun Belt. Troy won a pair of events as a team for the first time since 2017.
Troy will be looking to qualify for the NCAA Championship for the first time ever as a team, but the Trojans had an individual advance out of the NCAA Regional in 2015 – Tolver Dozier – and 2016 – Cam Norman.

🔼 Ticket Punched. Facing your rival with a postseason berth on the line, the stakes don’t get much higher.
That’s what the Troy softball squad has this weekend with South Alabama in town for a three-game set. On Thursday night, the Trojans took care of the postseason berth, grinding out a 7-6 victory over the Jags to secure a spot in the upcoming Sun Belt Tournament.
Four different players had multi-hit performances and Annie Orman became the first Trojan with an inside-the-park-HR since 2013 to lead the offensive attack.
In the circle, Kate Peters was critical for Troy, firiing 3.2 innings out of the pen, allowing just one earned run and striking out three.

🔼 Great Scott! There was a noticeable present missing from Troy’s NCAA Selection Show Watch Party on Wednesday.
But don’t worry, Brantley Scott had a pretty good reason to miss.
The Troy senior shot a 6-under 64 to win the U.S. Open Local Qualifier at Canongate on White Oak in Newnan, Ga.🥎Scott's victory advances him to a Regional Qualifier for the right to play in the 125th U.S. Open Championship at the Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa., this summer. The next qualifying takes place from May 19 until June 2, depending on the location and will consist of 36 holes.

🔼 See Ya In Seattle. One of the most reliable arms out of the bullpen for Troy during the 2023 and 2024 seasons achieved his childhood dream this week.
Noah Manning, an All-Conference arm for the Trojans, signed a free agent contract with the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.
The Minooka, Ill. native made 54 appearances for Troy over the course of two seasons, compiling a 9-3 ledger with a 3.81 ERA in 75.2 innings of work. He racked up 13 career saves, while striking out 67 and walking just 27.

🔼 Getting The Call. Manning isn’t the only former Trojan joining the pro ranks.
Earlier this week, former Troy football standout Richard Jibunor was selected in the first round of the 2025 CFL Global Draft by the Edmonton Elks.
Jibunor, a native of Nigeria, was a four-time All-Conference honoree for the Trojans, racking up 30 career sacks in 50 games played, while also forcing nine fumbles and tallying three INTs.

This past weekend, our Trojans came together to deliver and participate in the O's Cool Bike Ride.
