Happy Wednesday Trojans. It might not be a fireworks show, but this is one heck of a grand finale for the 14th-ranked Troy baseball squad.

🔼 Grand Finale. With three teams in the top-25 nationally, the Sun Belt is once again proving to be a powerhouse conference in collegiate baseball.

Two of those three teams are set to square off in a big three game conference series at Riddle-Pace Field, beginning tomorrow night when the 14th-ranked Trojans welcome the 19th-ranked Golden Eagles of Southern Miss to town.

First pitch is set for 6 pm on Thursday and Friday and an afternoon matinee at 3:33 on Saturday.

That’s all that separates the Troy men’s golf team from history as they step to the tees at Atkins Golf Club in Urbana, Ill.

Paced by rounds of 1-under from Jake Springer, Brantley Scott and Lee Poppell, the Trojans shot even-art as a team and sit in the fifth and final qualifying spot heading into the final round of the NCAA Regional – the top five teams and the top individual from a non-qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Championship.

Springer moved to 5-under for the week, which ties him for fourth place and just two shots off the individual lead.

Troy golfers combined for 15 birdies and an eagle on Tuesday, up from 14 in Monday's opening round. Springer paced the Trojans with five birdies, while Poppell had four and Pablo Gracia and Scott added three.

🔼 Class Acts. The courts weren’t the only place the Troy tennis programs had success this year.

Five Trojans were honored for their success in the classroom this week as a quartet from the women’s team and Yeray Andres Pastor from the men’s team earned Academic All-District Accolades.

Troy Athletics, the Troy Alumni Association and Troy Admissions announced Troy's seven stops for the annual Trojan Tour presented by Guardian Credit Union on Monday afternoon. This year's event features visits to Troy, Ozark, Dothan, Enterprise, Montgomery, Birmingham and Luverne.
 
Various Troy coaches and administrators, including Director of Athletics Brent Jones, football head coach Gerad Parker, men's basketball head coach Scott Cross, women's basketball head coach Chanda Rigby and baseball head coach Skylar Meade will be featured across Trojan Tour. 

Admission to all Trojan Tour socials is free; however, the baseball game in Montgomery will require a game ticket to be purchased, and some locations will require separate food purchases.
