🔼 STATEment Made. After taking down #17 Alabama earlier this week at Riddle-Pace, the Troy Baseball team continued that momentum at home, winning two-of-three from South Alabama in a huge Sun Belt series.

With the two wins, the Trojans move into fourth place in the league standings and clinch a berth in the Sun Belt Tournament later this month.

After dropping the opener to the Jags, Troy bounced back in a big way with wins of 10-5 and 8-1 in the final two games of the weekend. The Trojans blasted six HRs in the two victories.

🔼 Gotta Have Faith. The 2026 Sun Belt Track & Field Championships are on the horizon and for Troy women’s standout Faith Jones, she doesn’t have to look far to find support.

Her fiancé, Jared Jones III, is on the Trojans' men's track & field team as a sprinter.

"We both come from families who were very encouraging, so we still have someone out there watching our races and cheering us on," Faith said of each other's support. 

"In practices, I get to watch him and I'm just like, 'You need to push harder this way.' So, it's like we're able to critique each other because we want us to grow in this sport that we're doing and thrive in everything that we're doing."

Troy Athletics, the Troy Alumni Association and Troy Admissions recently announced Troy's five stops for the annual Trojan Tour presented by Guardian Credit Union. This year's event features visits to Troy, Ozark, Dothan, Montgomery and Birmingham.

Various Troy coaches and administrators, including Director of Athletics Kyle George, football head coach Gerad Parker, men's basketball head coach Adam Howard, women's basketball head coach Chanda Rigby, volleyball head coach Josh Lauer, softball head coach Eric Newell and baseball head coach Skylar Meade featured across Trojan Tour.

Admission to all Trojan Tour socials is free, and some locations may require a separate food purchase.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior Blake Cavill, who delivered in a big way in the final two games against South Alabama, racking up five hits, four RBIs and four runs scored in the two victories. Three of Cavill’s five hits were of the extra-base variety with two doubles and his eighth HR of the year.
