📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Early And Often. It started in the second innings and didn’t slow down.
The 15th-ranked Troy baseball team put on an offensive show on Tuesday night at Riddle-Pace, earning a run-rule victory over in-state rival Jacksonville State, 12-2.
Three different players had multi-hit nights, including Houston Markham, Jimmy Janicki and Steven Meier. Sean Darnell and Dillon Kuehl both notched two RBIs apiece as six different Trojans racked up an RBI on the night.
On the mound, senior lefty Jacob Roettgen gave the Trojans three quality innings to start the ballgame, holding Jax State scoreless while allowing four hits, one walk and a career-high four strikeouts. Colby Frieda earned the win, pitching 2.2 innings with four hits, two earned runs, one walk and tying his career high with four strikeouts. Grady Gorgen pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, retiring all four batters faced and recording one strikeout.

🔼 That’s Our Guy. Two years in and the impact is evident.
Second-year men’s golf head coach Clay Bounds became the first coach in program history to be named the Sun Belt Coach of the Year on Tuesday.
In just his second year at the helm, Bounds is leading Troy back to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2017 as the Trojans enter the NCAA selections ranked No. 51 in the country. Troy advanced to match play at the Sun Belt Championship and won a pair of tournaments this year with victories at the Argent Financial Classic and the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate.
Additionally, Brantley Scott and Jake Springer were named to the All-Sun Belt First Team, and Nick Fowlkes was named to the All-Sun Belt Third Team.
