🔼 In The Hunt. With 18 holes to go, the Troy men’s golf team is in the hunt.

Three Trojan golfers shot in the red during Tuesday's second round of the Sun Belt Men's Golf Championship at the Annandale Golf Course. Troy sits in sixth place, eight shots off the cut for match play.

The Trojans shot 1-under on the day as a team and closed the gap on South Alabama, which is four shots ahead in fifth place. James Madison posted the best round of the day, shooting 8-under par, moving up three spots and pulling within three shots of Coastal Carolina at the top of the leaderboard.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. The Adam Howard era is officially underway as the first-year head coach announced his first transfer addition with the signing of Robert Davis Jr. for the 2026-27 season.

Davis, a 6-foot-6 guard from Detroit, Mich., was named the 2025-26 Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year and spent the last two seasons at Old Dominion, where he averaged 13.0 points and 2.5 rebounds while making 53 starts during his time in Norfolk.

His breakout season came in 2024-25, when he averaged 15.6 points per game and ranked eighth nationally with 116 made 3-pointers, setting an ODU single-season record. He scored in double figures 28 times, including eight games of 20-plus points.

🔼 Doublin’ Up. Troy's Hayden Smith earned both conference and national recognition after a stellar week on the mound with 11 shutout innings across two appearances.

On Tuesday, the junior left-hander was named the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week by the league office and the National Pitcher of the Week by the College Baseball Foundation.

For the season, the Nicholasville, Ky., native leads Troy with a 2.31 ERA across his 12 appearances. In 26.1 innings, Smith has allowed just 18 hits, holding his opponents to a .191 average, while striking out 18 hitters to nine walks.

🔼 A Global Journey. Troy Football’s Fabian Rogosch still remembers the first time he believed it was possible, not just playing American football for fun in Germany or watching highlights late at night, but actually building a path to the United States to compete at the college level.

That idea did not come easily. It had to grow.

Rogosch grew up just outside Hamburg, where soccer dominates, and American football is a curiosity. Like most kids, he played a range of sports including soccer, handball and tennis. Football only entered the picture later, despite his father's early involvement.

It took a mix of timing and curiosity to change that.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior men’s golf Thomas Crane, who drilled a hole-in-one at the opening round of the Sun Belt Championship on Monday. He is one of three Trojan golfers in the top-20 entering today’s final round.
