πŸ”Ό Protect This House. Believe it or not, but the home dates at Riddle Pace are approaching their home stretch for the 15th-ranked Troy baseball squad.

This evening, the Trojans welcome Texas State to town for the penultimate Sun Belt home series of the 2025 slate.

In 21 home games this season, Troy is 17-4 and will look to continue their trend of 10 consecutive weekend series victories against the Bobcats.

First pitch of game one is slated for 6 pm tonight.

πŸ”Ό Marchin’ On. And the Trojans are marchin’ on!

What an effort from the Troy women’s tennis team in the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament, grinding out a hard-fought 4-2 win over 10th-seeded Coastal Carolina on Thursday in Rome, Ga.

The victory sets up a quarterfinal showdown with second-seeded App State at 1 pm this afternoon.

πŸ”Ό Fresh Face. The newest member of the Troy women’s basketball program has a long standing tie to the Trojans.

On Thursday, Coach Rigby and the Trojans announced the signing Rachel Leggett, sister of former Trojan Amber Leggett, from South Alabama, as its third transfer signee.

After three seasons with SBC rival South Alabama, Leggett averaged nine points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and a steal, shooting 51.3 percent from the field. Last season, the 5-8 guard peaked for the Jaguars with career-highs in points (13.1), rebounds (5.8), assists (1.5) and steals (1.5) and field goal percentage (54.1).

πŸ”Ό Power Pair. For a fourth straight spring, the Troy women’s tennis team reached double-digit victories.

Leading the way for the Trojans was the power pair of Valeriia Avdeeva and Maria Guirguis, who were both honored this week, earning spots on the Sun Belt All-Conference Singles Second Team.

Avdeeva led the team with 15 wins, while Guirguis was right behind her with 12.

⚾️ HISTORY MAKERS

With 10 straight series victories to open the season, the Troy baseball team captured history this week, earning the highest ranking in Division I program history at #15 in this week’s Baseball America Top 25 poll.

The Trojans were also ranked No. 18 by the NCBWA. No. 20 by D1Baseball, No. 22 by Perfect Game and No. 23 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Troy is one of just 11 teams and the ONLY mid-major team in college baseball to have been ranked every week from Preseason to Week 10 in the D1Baseball Top 25.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is junior Maria Guirguis of the Troy women’s tennis team. After earning All-Sun Belt accolades earlier this week, Guirguis backed it up with a clutch victory on the doubles court and a straight set victory at #2 singles to help the Trojans march into the Sun Belt quarterfinals.
