🔼 Midweek Magic. The Troy softball team run-ruled Florida A&M 9-0 on the road Tuesday night to stay unbeaten in midweek games. The offense raked for the Trojans, posting 12 hits in five innings to take down the Rattlers.

Makaley Boswell shined at the dish, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run. Her doubles gave her 17 on the season, moving her into a six-way tie for the third most by a Trojan in a single season.

Mia Tidmore and Megan Loftis each had two-hit, two-RBI outings against Florida A&M, and Loftis logged her first career multi-RBI game.

From the circle, Savannah MoneyElla Cunningham and Emma Banks combined to hold the Rattlers scoreless. Cunningham also had two hits from the plate.

🔼 Ballin’ Out. When his team needed him most, up stepped Aaron Piasecki.

The Troy Baseball standout had a monster week to help the Trojans earn a critical Sun Belt series victory and was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week, following a four-game stretch that saw him reach base 16 times.

Piasecki hit .667 on the week, reaching base at a .761 clip while slugging 1.133. He collected ten hits while drawing four walks and two HBPs without a strikeout, tallying two triples, one homer, five RBIs and eight runs scored.

🔼 Jolt From Jimmy. Know what’s better than one weekly award for a Trojan? How about two?

Jimmy Janicki joined Aaron Piasecki as weekly award-winners as the sophomore backstop was named the Buster Posey National Catcher of the Week on Tuesday, following a spectacular week both at and behind the plate.

The Downers Grove, Ill., native was ultraproductive in four games for the Trojans last week, batting .450 with four doubles - one in each game - along with two homers and 13 RBIs, ending his outstanding week with a walk-off grand slam in Sunday's series-clinching win over Louisiana. Behind the dish, Janicki gunned down three of six attempted base stealers.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is junior Makaley Boswell, who shined at the dish in Tuesday’s road victory at Florida A&M. The Geneva, Ala., native went 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Her doubles gave her 17 on the season, moving her into a six-way tie for the third most by a Trojan in a single season.
