One Troy Today 4/21: Perfect 10
Trojans Win 10th Consecutive Weekend Series
Good Morning Troy Fam. No, they aren’t doing any gymnastics routines (but it would be funny to see), but the 18th-ranked Troy baseball squad scored a perfect 10 this weekend.
What all do we have stirring in today’s Brew? Check it out below!

🔼 The Perfect 10. It’s already been a historic year for the Troy baseball team and the Trojans added to that resume this past weekend.
Ranked 18th in the country, Troy picked up its 10th consecutive weekend series victory, taking two-of-three from ULM to improve to 28-12 on the year and sit in second place in the Sun Belt standings.
After Thursday’s 9-3 victory over the Warhawks, Noah Edders and the Troy offense put together a “complete” performance with Edders tossing a complete game gem and the Trojans pouring it on for an 11-1 run rule win.

🔼 Not So Fast, My Friend! After dropping the opener of the three-game series, the Troy softball team turned the tables on Texas State, taking the final two games from the Bobcats to earn their second Sun Belt series win in the past three weekends.
Troy turned to the circle as four pitchers combined to limit the Bobcats to just four runs in the final two games and some clutch hitting provided just enough offense to bring victories of 4-2 and 3-2.

🔼 And Another One. And the building for the next year continues.
Coming off a run to the WNIT Championship game, the Troy women’s hoops team added a second transfer to the program for next year with the signing of Mississippi State guard Shakirah Edwards.
Edwards, a Panama City, Fla. native, clocked in with the team's highest running vertical height at 10' 5.5" and a 35.5" running vertical with a 6' 0.5" wingspan and 7'6" standing reach. She played 11 games with the Bulldogs, debuting with four points on 2-of-3 shooting and a block against Memphis. She fired on all cylinders with eight points, two rebounds and a steal at Chicago State.
The newest Trojan graduated from Rutherford High School as a two-sport athlete in basketball and track and field. She earned a four-star rating by ESPNW HoopGurlz as the No. 49 overall recruit by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report – Dan Olson.
