That’s right, for the second straight season, the Troy women’s hoops squad
has earned a berth in the WNIT Fab 4 after a thrilling 97-88 overtime victory
at North Dakota State on Monday evening in Fargo.

Five Trojans contributed in overtime via 10 free throws as Troy (23-13) triumphed over the Bisons (21-12) for a second time in 2024-25. Troy now heads to Illinois State for a shot at the WNIT Championship game on Wednesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m.

For the third straight game, five Trojans ended with double-figures, led by a career-high 22-point performance from Briana Peguero on 10-of-11 at the charity stripe. Shaulana Wagner followed suit with 18 points and a team-high four assists, while Zay Dyer (14), Brianna Jackson (14) and Fortuna Ngnawo (11) all joined her with 10-plus points.

Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. as the Trojans and Illinois State battle for the right to play for the WNIT Championship.

The official watch party headquarters of Troy Athletics, Baumhower's Victory Grille has wall-to-wall TVs that will allow for all eyes to be turned towards the Trojans.

⚾️ LUNCH AT THE DIAMOND

Let’s be honest, you needed a light day anyway, right?

Before taking in the women’s hoops game tonight, head on over and enjoy the 20th-ranked Trojans on the diamond before they head out on a road swing.

Troy is set to host Florida A&M at 12 pm this afternoon at Riddle-Pace in a non-conference showdown.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior guard Briana Peguero of the Troy women’s hoops team. In her final few games of her collegiate career, Peguero is leaving it all on the court, finishing with a career-best 22-points, including knocking down 10 free-throws to help lead the Trojans back to the WNIT Fab 4 for the second straight season.

⚔️ AMONG THE LEGENDS

With the 2025 Troy football spring practice in full effect, Troy Athletics finalized the festivities for T-Day, which includes the annual Lunch with Legends panel that's packed with Troy greats before kickoff on Saturday, April 12.

In partnership with The Vance Law Firm, T-Day will kickoff at 2 p.m. with free admission for all fans. The day kicks off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Troy's annual Lunch with Legends featuring Richard Shaughnessy, Lawrence Tynes, DeWhitt Betterson Sr. and Corey Robinson. Between that, the free Youth Football Clinic (All children aged 5-12) starts at 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. with check-in at Gate 1 (South Concourse), starting at 11:15 a.m.
