⚔️ WHAT A WEEKEND!

With the Trojan faithful packing the stands, the Troy football program wrapped up their spring season with their annual T-Day Celebration at the Vet.
 
The day opened in the Stadium Club as a sold out crowd was treated to a blast from the past as Lawrence Tynes, DeWhitt Betterson Sr., Corey Robinson and Richard Shaughnessy entertained the crowd with stories from their careers at Troy. 

As Lunch with Legends was wrapping up in the Stadium Tower, nearly 200 kids stormed the field of The Vet for the Future Trojans Youth Football Camp, a free hour-long clinic put on by the Troy players before their scrimmage later in the afternoon.

On the field, it wasn't a traditional spring game but more of a hybrid between a scrimmage and a competition as the Trojans squared off in 7 v 7 and 1-on-1 drills (including an OL vs. DL running routes against each other). Additionally, Troy played their traditional Race to 18 before switching to a kicking and punting competition in the fourth quarter before closing out the day with a punt, pass and kick relay race.

That’s not too shabby of a way to start the 2025 season, but that’s what the 18th-ranked Trojans have done after taking two-of-three on the road at JMU this past weekend.

After dropping the opener on Friday, Troy bounced back to take a 6-3 victory in game two and clinched the series with a dominant pitching performance in a 4-0 series clincher.

🔼 Senior Salute. No better way to send off the seniors than with a W.

That’s exactly what the Troy men’s tennis program did, picking up a fourth straight victory, dropping Georgia State, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Lunsford Tennis Complex.

Prior to the win, the Trojans honored its three seniors, Nicolas Simkin, Noah Martens and Vicente Arbelaez. 

With the Sun Belt Tournament set to get underway this week in Rome, Ga., Troy sits at 4-3 in league action and will be the fourth seed in this week’s action.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior right-hander Colby Frieda, who helped Troy clinch their ninth consecutive series victory, tossing four shutout innings in the final game of the three-game set at JMU. Frieda struck out four and allowed just three hits to pick up his second win of the season for the Trojans.
