🔼 Winning Wednesday. The midweek magic continued for the Troy softball program as the Trojans swept a doubleheader from West Georgia on Wednesday with victories of 2-0 and 6-4.

With the two wins, the Trojans improve to 7-0 in weekday games.

The right arm of Esmee Ames delivered a stellar one-hit shutout in opening game of the day, followed by timely hitting a late surge in game two from the Troy offense.

🔼 Rattled ‘Em. As the weather continues to heat up, so is the Troy Baseball squad.

On Wednesday, the Trojans used nine runs over the first four innings to propel themselves to a midweek run-rule victory over visiting Florida A&M, 12-2.

With the win, Troy has now won five of its past six entering a huge Sun Belt road series at Texas State this weekend.

🔼 Chart Climbers. This week, the ITA released its latest singles and doubles rankings.

Only one doubles team in the entire Sun Belt was among that list and it was Troy’s own Luciano Alcocer and Yeray Andres Pastor, who earned a #61 ranking in this week’s poll.

The pair has helped the Trojans to 12 straight victories and a 19-4 mark heading into a Saturday home doubleheader.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior righthander Esmee Ames, who was nearly unhittable in Wednesday’s game one win over West Georgia, tossing seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit in a 2-0 home victory for the Trojans.
