The time has come. Tomorrow, we hit the courts.

All the preparation, all the practices, comes down to this weekend
in Pensacola as the Trojans take on the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

This week, Coach Cross and a few players, stopped by Trojan Talk
to give a little preview of what’s ahead for the squad.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 And Here We Go. March, there’s truly nothing like this time of year in college athletics.

The excitement. The energy. The craziness.

All of that and then some is happening in Pensacola as both Troy hoops squads are set to open up action at the Sun Belt Conference Tournaments on Saturday in the quarterfinals.

With opponents still to be determined, the women’s team will take the court first, playing at 2:30, while the men will tip off at 8 pm.

🔼 Titletown. The trophy case for the Troy golf programs filled up quickly this week.

Not one, but two titles came home after a monster week on the links for the Trojans.

On the men’s side, Troy ran away with the victory at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate thanks to a dominating performance in the final round to seize a 19-shot victory for the second team title of the season.

Brantley Scott won his first career tournament title, shooting 1-under to edge out North Alabama's Xing Luo by two shots.

For the women, the Trojans had three individuals in the top-10 to secure a six-shot victory at the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate.

The victory is Troy's first since its win last spring at the GSU Invitational, which was the Trojans' first title since 2020 when Troy won three times in the COVID-shortened season. 

🔼 Eight Is Great. The weather isn’t the only thing heating up, the Troy men’s tennis team is even hotter.

The Trojans rolled to their eighth straight victory, dropping visiting Jacksonville State earlier this week to improve to 13-4 and have not lost since Feb. 1st.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior men’s golfer Brantley Scott. After missing all fall with an injury, Scott fired a 1-under at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate to claim his first career tournament title. He finished the event with four birdies, three bogeys and 47 pars.

In the chaos of the final few games of the Troy hoops season, it may have missed your social feed, but you better block off these dates now! The Trojan football season will be here before we know it.

This past Friday, the completed 2025 Troy football slate was unveiled and we promise, you don’t want to miss any of these showdowns.

In addition to great action on the field, Troy will celebrate its 25th anniversary of moving to the FBS level throughout the 2025 season, in addition to the 60th anniversary of the Sound of the South.

Earlier this week, Zay Dyer of the Troy women’s hoops squad earned First Team All-Sun Belt accolades. She led the league and ranked in the top-20 nationally in double-doubles this season.
