🔼 No One Better. There’s been plenty of adjectives used to describe the performance of Tayton Conerway this season.

Now, the dynamic playmaker can sum it up in one statement… Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year.

A senior from Burleson, Texas, Conerway is the first Troy player to win Sun Belt Player of the Year and the fifth player in program history to win a conference player of the year. Greg Davis is the most recent winner, having earned the Atlantic Sun honor in 2004. It's the second year in a row that Conerway has won an individual Sun Belt honor after being named the 2024 Sixth Man of the Year.

It also marks back-to-back seasons that a Trojan has been named to the All-Sun Belt First Team, after Christyon Eugene was named to it last season.

Conerway led the Trojans in scoring this season at 13.7 points while shooting 46.6 percent from the field. He also led Troy in assists (5.0) and was tied for second in rebounds (4.7). On defense, he led Troy with 91 steals, setting a new program record for the most steals in a season. It's also the fourth-most steals in a season in Sun Belt history, and the second most in the country this year.

🔼 In Good Company. Conerway wasn’t the only Trojan earning a spot amongst some of the best in the conference.

The Sun Belt leader in rebounds and double-doubles, Zay Dyer, also earned All-Sun Belt First Team accolades on the women’s side.

Dyer led the conference with 14 double-doubles to rank 20th in the nation – the next closest player was Sun Belt Player of the Year Peyton McDaniels with 12. In league play, Dyer also tied to lead the conference with eight.

The junior forward erupted to end the season with six straight games with 10-plus points, including a 23-point performance against South Alabama and 22 points on Arkansas State. Her 44.5 percent shooting placed her fourth in the SBC, totaling 23 double-digit scoring performances in 30 starts with six games at 20-plus.

🔼 They’rree Bacckkk. That’s right, the action isn’t just heating up at conference tournament, it’s also heating up on the gridiron.

On a beautiful Tuesday morning, the Trojans hit the football field for their first official practice of the spring season.
