🔼 Enjoyin’ The Hits. The Troy softball team earned their fifth straight victory in style, exploding for 14 hits, including three home runs (two inside-the-park) to remain a perfect 5-0 in midweek games after a 12-6 victory over Kennesaw State on Wednesday night.

Troy saw two inside-the-park home runs via Kiley Huffman and McKinnon Howard, with a solo shot to left field for Kalee Rochinski.

The trio combined to go for 9-for-11 with seven RBIs. Huffman and Rochinski were perfect, going 4-for-4 and 3-for-3, respectively. Ella Cunningham also added a multi-hit game with an RBI. The Trojans totaled 14 hits for their 13th game with double-digit hits.

🔼 Rattled ‘Em. Before jumping into a weekend conference series at Georgia Southern, the Troy baseball team got the road trip started in the right direction with a 7-4 victory at Florida A&M on Wednesday afternoon.

The Trojans used a five-run third inning to claim the lead early and went on to pound out 11 hits on the day.

Drew Nelson, Blake Cavill, Gavin Schrader and Nolan Book all had two hits on the day.

🔼 Mighty Maria. Following two wins at the No. 1 position, Maria Guirguis of the Troy women’s tennis team, was named Sun Belt Player of the Week.

Guirguis anchored two Sun Belt wins for Troy, as the Trojans defeated Texas State and Georgia State to secure their first 2-0 start in conference play since the 2019 season. 

🔼 Dropping Records. In just the second outdoor meet of the season, sophomore Aaliyah Murphy is already dropping records.

The Morristown, N.J. native had a monster showing on the first day of the 2026 Terry Long FSU Relays, taking home the top spot in the 400m hurdles with a record-breaking time of 59.17.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is sophomore Kiley Huffman, who continued her outstanding first season with the Troy softball team with a 4-for-4 performance in Wednesday’s midweek victory at Kennesaw State. Huffman had three RBIs and a run scored in the win.
