⚔️ AMONG THE LEGENDS
With the 2025 Troy football spring practice in full effect with head coach Gerad Parker entering his second season, Troy Athletics finalized the festivities for T-Day, which includes the annual Lunch with Legends panel that's packed with Troy greats before kickoff on Saturday, April 12.
In partnership with The Vance Law Firm, T-Day will kickoff at 2 p.m. with free admission for all fans. The day kicks off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Troy's annual Lunch with Legends featuring Richard Shaughnessy, Lawrence Tynes, DeWhitt Betterson Sr. and Corey Robinson. Between that, the free Youth Football Clinic (All children aged 5-12) starts at 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. with check-in at Gate 1 (South Concourse), starting at 11:15 a.m.
And that’s just the beginning!
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Blazin’ Em. It started early and often on Tuesday at historic Rickwood Field.
The Trojans pounded out eight hits and six runs in the first four innings to spark a red-hot day at the plate, rolling past UAB, 14-2 in seven innings.
On the day, Troy pounded out 15 hits and scored five runs in the second inning, recording five hits and a walk in the frame, highlighted by doubles from Harrison Bowman, Gavin Schrader and Jason Hawkins.
Schrader was named Sun Belt Player of the Week after going 6-for-12 at the plate with a pair of homers at Louisiana over the weekend and followed it up with a 4-for-4 day with two doubles and two RBIs on Tuesday. Bowman's double in the second inning was the first of his career, and the sophomore hit his first career homer in the sixth inning on a three-run shot over the left field wall.
On the mound, senior lefty Jacob Roettgen made his second start of the season, going a career-high 4.0 innings and earning his first career win.

🔼 Springing Into Action. For a third straight event, the Troy men’s golf team earned a top-two finish after firing an even-par in Tuesday’s final round to finish behind only host-Houston for second place.
Senior Jake Springer became the first Trojan golfer since 2007 to win multiple tournaments in the same season after claiming individual medalist honors at The All-American Intercollegiate.
The event featured the nation's No. 16 ranked team in UNLV, which Troy beat by 23 strokes; the Trojans defeated No. 51 Arkansas by 33 shots last week at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

🔼 Not Done Yet. The Troy men’s hoops team isn’t the only squad with postseason on their minds.
For the second straight season, the Troy women’s hoops team earned a berth in the WNIT and will host the winner of Alabama A&M and UT-Chattanooga after receiving a first-round bye on Monday.
Round two will be from March 23-25, with the official date, time and location to be announced at the conclusion of round one.
The WNIT bid is the seventh overall postseason nod during Coach Rigby’s tenure.
Troy finished its Sun Belt run at 20-13, 13-5 SBC, earning a 10th straight top 4 seed in the tournament and winning its way into the semifinal round. The SBC's automatic qualifier also led the conference in assists (15.3), defensive rebounds (33.2), scoring (78.5) and total rebounds (49.5) – also led the nation in defensive rebounds and total rebounds.
🏀 LET’S DANCE
The Trojans are headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017 and will be the 14th-seed in the Midwest Region.
Troy drew the third-seeded Wildcats of Kentucky and will battle Big Blue on Friday at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Tip time is set for 6:10 pm CST.
The game will also be available to watch on the NCAA March Madness Live App, Max and Paramount+.
Troy (23-10) earned the Sun Belt's automatic bid after winning the conference championship on Monday night in Pensacola, Fla., thanks to a 94-81 victory over Arkansas State. The Trojans' 23 wins are there most since the 2003-04 season. Troy enters March Madness with a six-game winning streak and won all three of its Sun Belt Tournament games by 13 or more points.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior Jake Springer of the men’s golf program. Springer won his second tournament of the season to help the Trojans to a second place finish at The All-American in Houston. Springer shot in the red in all three of his rounds and finished 7-under for the week to rally past Houston's Chi Chun Chun, who shot 3-over on Tuesday after entering the final round at 9-under.
