🔼 Monday Night Madness. For the first time since 2017, the Troy men’s basketball team will be playing for a Sun Belt Conference championship after a convincing 79-60 victory over second-seeded JMU on Sunday night in Pensacola.

The Trojans (22-10) opened the game on fire and used a big second-half push to topple the defending champions in JMU and clinch a berth in the Sun Belt title game for the first time under Coach Cross.

As he has all year long, Tayton Conerway was spectacular with a team-high 22 points, while Jackson Fields poured in a career-high 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Thomas Dowd notched his third double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Trojans.

🔼 Circle of Trust. It certainly was a circle of trust for the Troy softball program, who kicked off their weekend sweep of visiting UMass with a no-hitter and a complete game shutout on Friday night.

Alyssa Faircloth got things started with a no-hitter in Friday’s first game (7-0) of the doubleheader and Mya Holt followed it up with a shutout (5-0) of her own. On Sunday, the Trojan offense took over, rolling to a 15-7 win over the Minutewomen to push the win streak to four.

🔼 Having A Blast. The 19th-ranked Troy baseball squad blasted six HRs in their first road series of the year, taking two of three at USC Upstate to improve to 13-3 overall.

Blake Cavill led the blast party on Friday with two HRs to lead the Trojans to an 11-9 win, after dropping a tough Saturday game, the offense once again put on a show on Sunday, clinching the series in a 14-7 win.
