🔼 Second Helpings. With only two more home games on the docket, Jerrell Bellamy is making sure they count.
The senior poured in a career-high 25 points to lead the Troy men’s hoops team to a 78-59 victory over Louisiana on Tuesday night.
The win puts Troy (19-11, 11-6) in position to earn at least a share of the Sun Belt regular-season title with a victory over ULM on Friday night.
The Trojans used a dominant second half to secure the win, shooting 65.4-percent from the field and outscoring Louisiana by 15 to pull away comfortably.

🔼 Double Trouble. At this point, it’s almost a guarantee for Zay Dyer and Fortuna Ngnawo.
The dynamic duo for Troy women’s hoops once again secured double-doubles as the Trojans held off a second-half comeback by Arkansas State to pick up a crucial 61-54 road win on Tuesday night.
The victory clinches a bye into the Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals for Troy and with a win on Friday, the Trojans clinch at least a share of the regular-season title.
Dyer, the current Sun Belt Player of the Week, scored 14 points with 16 rebounds, while the week one player of the week, Ngnawo, had 14 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. It was their 21st and 17th of the season, respectively, to hold the top-two spots in the SBC.
🔼 Mighty Makaley. Following five multi-hit games last week, Troy softball standout Makaley Boswell was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week. Boswell had a career-high six RBIs against Furman on Sunday and finished the week with 10 total RBIs.
The Geneva, Ala., native hit three doubles, a triple and a home run in five total games.
🔼 Gotta Have Faith. No better time to break out a record-setting time than the conference championships.
Senior Faith Jones of the Troy track & field squad did exactly that, blazing the track to the time of 8.32 in the 60-meter hurdles to capture gold at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships.
The time shattered her own school record of 8.48 that she set earlier this month at the UAB Invite.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior Jerrell Bellamy, who in his penultimate regular season home game, poured in a career-best 25 points on 11-of-13 shooting in the Trojans’ win over Louisiana on Tuesday night. The big man also added four rebounds, two assists and a block in the victory.
