🔼 Senior Salutin’. Is there any better way to send off the seniors than with a W? We think not.

That’s exactly what the Troy women’s hoops team did, celebrating its five seniors with a dominant 97-80 victory over Southern Miss on Saturday afternoon at Trojan Arena.

The Trojans finished their home schedule at 13-1 to remain tied for first in the conference with Georgia Southern. They clinched a top-4 seed with the victory for the 12th straight season.

Troy had three seniors finish with double-doubles for the first time since Feb. 17, 2024, against ULM, led by Zay Dyer with 21 points and 20 rebounds. Dyer claimed her second career 20-20 game and is the lone player in the SBC to have one 20-20 game in the last five seasons.

Fortuna Ngnawo and Rachel Leggett also had double-doubles. Ngnawo finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds for her 16th double-double (second in the SBC), while Leggett had 15 points and 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double in the last nine games.

🔼 Make It A Dozen. Two run-rule victories and a win over a team receiving votes in a national poll? Just another weekend for the Troy softball squad.

The Trojans pushed their overall record to 12-2 on the year with a 3-1 showing at the Trojan Invitational.

Two run-rule victories over Furman, 11-2 and 12-4, bookended around a monster 2-0 win over Omaha, who was perviously undefeated and the number 1 mid-major team in the country according to D1Softball.

🔼 Over The Hump. The Troy baseball squad returned to Riddle-Pace Field for the first time in 2026 in a big way, taking two out of three from visiting Campbell over the weekend.

The Trojans showed their offensive firepower in the two wins, pounding out 20 hits and scoring 21 runs in the two wins, including blasting four HRs.
