📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Dialing It Up. Dialing up 11 3-pointers, the Troy women’s basketball squad rode a dominant first half to a 84-73 home win over South Alabama.

The Trojans, who now sit at 22-5 overall and 13-2 in league play, own a half-game advantage for first in the Sun Belt standings and secured a top-5 seed with their seventh straight league victory.

Emani Jenkins had 17 points in the first half with five threes to end with 18 points and a team-high three steals. The duo of Fortuna Ngnawo and Zay Dyer had double-doubles to remain No. 1 and No. 2 in the conference. Ngnawo ended with a team-high 18 rebounds and 16 points, while Dyer had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

🔼 Schedule Shifting. Hope those schedules were written in pencil!

This week, Troy Football adjusted its 2026 non-conference schedule with the addition of a road game at Utah State and moving its game at Missouri to earlier in the season following the Southeastern Conference's change to a nine-game league schedule. The Trojans also made changes and additions to their 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030 non-conference schedules.

Troy's non-conference slate in 2026 opens with back-to-back home games against Sam Houston State (Sept. 5) and Alabama State (Sept. 12) before trips to Missouri (Sept. 19) and Utah State (Sept. 26) to close out the pre-Sun Belt schedule.

🔼 Special K. With 10 seconds left on the clock, Kerrington Kiel pump-faked, drove down the lane and finished a contested layup for what proved to be the game-winning basket. 

The moment capped Kiel's 15-point performance - a career high - and allowed Troy to escape Monroe with a 77-76 win over ULM. 

In a back-and-forth game that featured 17 ties and 16 lead changes, it was the Troy defense that got a stop when it needed one. The Trojans stood tall without fouling and forced a Krystian Lewis missed layup as time expired. 

🔼 Swinging Away. “En Fuego” is really the only way to describe the Troy softball team right now.

With eight runs in the final two innings, the Trojans took down Alabama State 10-1 on Wednesday afternoon to improve to 9-1 on the year.

Esmee Ames put together another strong outing in her second start of the year, striking out seven and only allowing two hits across four innings of work.

Offensively, Kam Munson walked it off with her first collegiate home run to center field after entering as a pinch-hitter. Kiley Huffman went a perfect 3-for-3 from the dish and Makaley Boswell added two hits, collecting all of her RBIs on a bases-clearing triple to right field.
