🔼 Finish The Journey. Every conference game is a big one when it comes to Sun Belt hoops.

They become even bigger when the finish line is on the horizon as both Troy hoops squad are back in action tonight looking to stay amongst the top teams in the league.

With six regular season games remaining, the men’s squad is just one game back of first place as they hit the road to battle Louisiana, while the women’s team is tied for third and within striking distance of first place as they are set to host ULM at 6 pm at Trojan Arena.

🔼 And The Award Goes To… One week down, one award won.

With Preseason Player of the Year accolades hanging on her already, Taylor McKinney didn’t waste long showing she can handle the expectations.

The senior utility player opened the new season with a 1.700 OPS, going 7-for-15 (.467 clip). She also hammered three homers and two doubles for 18 total bases en route to a .500 on-base percentage and 1.200 slugging percentage.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is sophomore men’s tennis standout, Luciano Alcocer. In a weekend sweep of Alcron State, Alcocer went 2-0 in singles action in back-to-back straight set sweeps, while going 1-1 on the double court to help the Trojans improve to 7-4 this spring.
