That was the case for the Trojans this weekend, both on the hard court, on the diamond and on the track!

It’s what we’ve all been waiting for since last June, the return of Trojan baseball.

🔼 Court Is In Session. Nothing like taking a little road trip and coming back with three wins.

That’s how the Troy men’s tennis team spent their Saturday, making the trip to Alcorn State and sweeping their way to 4-1 and 4-0 victories to improve to 7-4 in the early spring season.

And to put the cherry on top of the weekend for the tennis squads, the women picked up a road win of their own, taking down Alabama State, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.

🔼 Three’s Company. The Troy track & field squad sent three Trojans to the podium this past weekend on their day at the UAB Green & Gold Invitation.

Junior Altwayne Bedward highlighted the weekend’s action for Troy, taking the top spot in the shot put with a personal best throw of 18.08m.

The Troy softball squad is officially back and picked up three victories on the weekend at home.

The Trojans started the weekend with a 7-4 victory over Central Michigan, followed by a 8-2 defeat of Tennessee State. Two tough losses to North Texas (7-4) and Samford (12-2), but a 6-1 Sunday victory over TSU wrapped up the three win weekend for Troy.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is senior softball star Taylor McKinney. On the opening weekend, McKinney racked up seven hits, five of which were for extra bases, including three HRs. She finished 7-of-15 with six runs scored and four RBIs.
