🔼 Bring On The Belt. The second season is upon the Troy basketball programs as Sun Belt play has arrived for the Trojans.

This morning, the women’s hoops squad looks to continue its D-I record start to the season when it travels to Old Dominion for a mid-week matinee.

Tip time in Norfolk is set for 10 a.m. CT.

The men’s team returns to the court on Saturday when the Thundering Herd of Marshall rolls into Trojans Arena for a 1 p.m. showdown.

🔼 Academic Aces. The volleyball court wasn’t the only place the Trojans were serving up aces.

This week, four members of the 2025 Troy volleyball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Amiah Butler, Kalina Calvillo, Olivia Kwiatkowski and Jaci Mesa received the honor.

To be eligible, the student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have appeared in 90 percent of the institution's matches or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. The four selections were the maximum allowed under the current CSC Academic All-District guidelines.

🔼 Battled Til The End.  Troy's defense delivered one of its most disruptive performances of the season, yet the Trojans came up short in a 17–13 loss to Jacksonville State on Tuesday night in the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl at the Cramton Bowl.

Troy (8-6) finished with five sacks, a defensive touchdown and held Jacksonville State to 273 total yards, its lowest output of the season. The Trojans also limited the Gamecocks to 100 rushing yards after Jacksonville State entered the game averaging 258 yards per contest on the ground.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is, senior linebacker Jordan Stringer, who capped off his Troy career with an exclamation point. Stringer racked up a career-high 16 tackles, including a 0.5 sack to lead a stifling defensive effort for the Trojans at the IS4S Salute To Veterans Bowl.

Trojans Top Performance is brought to you by Conecuh Sausage. Conecuh Sausage is made in Alabama, it’s great on the grill and a fan favorite for tailgating. Conecuh Sausage, the Official Sausage of Troy Athletics.
