🔼 We Goin’ To The ‘Ship. In a winner-take-all showdown, Troy left no doubt about the top team in the Sun Belt West Division, defeating Southern Miss 28-18 on the road on Saturday afternoon.

The victory delivers Troy its third West title in four seasons and sends the Trojans to James Madison on Friday for the Sun Belt Championship Game.

Troy outgained Southern Miss by 124 yards and held the Golden Eagles to 304 total yards. The Trojans limited Southern Miss to fewer than 100 rushing yards and to its second-lowest yardage total of the season.

Goose Crowder completed 24-of-34 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns; two went to RaRa Thomas in the fourth quarter. Thomas finished with five catches for 118 yards and added 39 rushing yards on three carries. Crowder has completed 51-of-77 passes for 646 yards and nine touchdowns in two games since returning to the starting job.

🔼 History Makers. Sure, the old adage may be “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, but this time, the Troy women’s hoops squad wants this one to stick.

The Trojans made history Saturday night with a 74-70 thriller in the Resorts World Arena to claim the best Division-I start in program history at 7-1, while winning the 2025 Resorts World Las Vegas Classic title.

With 0:01 on the clock, Ashley Baez iced the game at the free throw line to give the Trojans (7-1) their best start since 1991-92 and best in Division-I history – the previous best was 6-1 in 2019-20.

Baez, who transferred from Florida Gulf Coast, hit five critical free throws in the final 15 seconds to finish with 10 points – she went 8-of-10 at the charity stripe. Zay Dyer was Troy's leading scorer and rebounder with her third straight double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Fortuna Ngnawo (14) and Emani Jenkins also added double-digits. For Ngnawo, she's 8-for-8 in double-digit games in 2025-26. 

🔼 Finally Home! Coming home is always sweet.

But this time, it may be a little sweeter than usual as the Troy men’s hoops squad hits the court at Trojan Arena for the first time since Nov. 11 when they battle West Georgia tonight at 7 pm.

The Trojans are back at home after a six-game, 5,500 mile road swing that saw them play in both California and Florida in a span of less than two weeks.

Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is, redshirt junior QB Goose Crowder, who led the Troy football team back to the Sun Belt Championship game with a dominant win at Southern Miss. Since returning to the fully healthy as the starting QB, Crowder is 51-of-77 for 646 yards and nine TDs.
