🔼 Bringing The D. When you rack up 19 tackles, you’re going to earn some attention.

Troy senior Devin Lafayette did just that this past weekend in the Trojans’ thrilling win over South Alabama to earn Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Lafayette recorded nine solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles, including a tackle on South Alabama's lone third down in overtime to force the decisive fourth down stop.

The Brunswick, Ga. native is the fourth Trojan to earn a weekly SBC honor this season, joining Luke Hodge (defense), Tae Meadows (offense) and Evan Crenshaw (special teams). He ranks ninth nationally and second in the Sun Belt, averaging 10.2 tackles per game.

🔼 Fall Ball Fun. Coming off a historic 2025 spring season, the Troy baseball program is back to work on the diamond preparing for next year.

The Trojans will make the trip to Kennesaw, Ga., to face the Owls on Saturday, October 25, at noon ET. The matchup will feature the first game played in Kennesaw State's brand-new Mickey Dunn Stadium.

On Sunday, November 9, Troy returns to historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala., to take on Samford at 11 a.m. CT.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 2012
