🔼 Tuesday Night Lights. Cancel any plans that may be on the schedule, you need to be at Veterans Memorial Stadium as Troy football returns home for a Tuesday night national TV showdown with Southern Miss in the Sun Belt opener for both squads.
Troy has won five straight games against the Golden Eagles (1-3) dating back to the 2021 season, including all four as Sun Belt foes.
This is the earliest meeting between Troy and Southern Miss as conference opponents; they met in the third SBC game in 2022 and have closed out the season each of the last three years.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
🔼 No Fly Zone. Troy volleyball continued its impressive start to conference play with a dominant weekend, rolling to a pair of 3-1 victories at Southern Miss to improve to 3-1 in league play.
Freshman Isa Ruether was outstanding all weekend long, racking up 33 kills to lead the offensive attack. Kalina Calvillo added 23 kills, while Madison Marx dished out 52 assists and Haley Nash chipped in 39 digs from the defensive side.
The Trojans return home this upcoming weekend when ULM rolls into town on Friday and Saturday.
🔼 Storm Troopers. A rain storm? No problem. Down a player? Bring it on.
The Troy soccer squad battled more than just Coastal Carolina on Saturday afternoon, pulling out a dramatic 1-0 victory over the Chanticleers to earn the Trojans’ first Sun Belt victory since 2024.
Taylor Richards was outstanding in goal, denying two late attempts by Coastal, which allowed Alaina Uncapher to find the back of the net in the 87th minute to secure the three conference points.
Today’s Trojan Top Performance, brought to you by Conecuh Sausage, is fifth year women’s soccer standout Alaina Uncapher, who found the back of the net in the 87th minute to pick up a 1-0 victory over Coastal Carolina on Saturday, the program’s first conference victory since 2024.
